Pony Club Australia Proficiency Certificates

There are eight Pony Club Australia Proficiency Certificates over seven levels. You can view the contents of each level in the PCA Syllabus updated December 2020.

The Pony Club Australia Syllabus of Instruction is built on certificate levels that enable the rider to continuously develop their skills in riding, horse care and citizenship. Members are encouraged to move through the certificates at their own pace.

The Certificate Process

The Pony Club Australia Academy is designed to expand and enhance the certificate program by supporting the coaching and certificate manual systems with online content and activities.

Multiple choice quizzes, fill in the blanks, true or false questions and drag-and- drop are just some of the types of activities used throughout each course.

Written tests or exams can now be completed online and assessed by your nominated assessor to finalise each certificate.

These are tested within the Club by a Club Instructor at any Club Rally. Please contact your DC for examination. DC’s are welcome to contact the Zone Examining Secretary if they would like assistance.

Information for Clubs: When assessing the candidate complete the relevant marking sheet available at https://ponyclubaustralia.com.au/certificate-assessments. The final certificate results should be entered on the PCA Assessment Report and emailed to Pony Club Victoria (membership@ponyclubvic.org.au) AND Pony Club Australia (info@ponyclubaustralia.com.au) (subject ‘Certificate Assessments’).
