Midland Zone

Midland Zone

The Midland Zone was established in 1966. It is affiliated with Pony Club Victoria (PCV) and is one of 10 Zones within the State.

The Midland Zone is made up of 17 clubs situated throughout Central and Western Victoria.

Our Aims

  • To encourage people from 3 years to 80 years to ride and to learn to enjoy all approved types of sport connected with horse riding.
  • To provide instruction in horsemanship, riding and the proper care of horses.
  • To promote the highest ideals of sportsmanship, citizenship and loyalty, thereby cultivating strength of character and self-discipline.

Midland Zone Structure

The Midland Zone runs over a large geographical area. In 1983 to combat the vast distance required for riders & officials to travel from one end of the zone to the other, it was decided to divide the zone into four Sections using grouping on the map. Named A, B, C and D.

Each Section hosts one Midland Zone event per year. Events are rotated each year through the Sections. This supports riders & officials from each Section to compete at Zone level without having to travel long distances for every competition. The calendar rotation also includes the Zone AGM/dinner and the Zone Coaching Workshops.
